Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator at our Wisconsin facility to safely move materials through production, maintain organized inventory yards, and load trucks with decking materials and finished goods. The role supports production schedules and adheres to safety procedures to ensure accurate shipments.

The ideal candidate will perform pre-shift inspections, assist with bottlenecks, and participate in CI initiatives, maintaining clean, efficient operations on site.

Responsibilities

• Moves material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Bands, wraps, packs, and labels finished goods.
• Loads trucks with decking materials and other finished products, ensuring loads are accurate, secure, and comply with safety and shipping requirements.
• Unloads incoming materials and verifies shipments when required.
• Moves finished goods from production areas to finished goods inventory yards or warehouses.
• Assists production departments with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provides production lines with materials according to the production schedule.
• Performs general preventive maintenance on forklifts and related equipment.
• Completes pre-shift equipment inspection checklists and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains raw material and finished goods inventory yards in a clean and organized manner.
• Completes production, inventory, and shipping records as required.
• Follows all forklift operation rules, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Participates in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other company programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
