Job summary

Silgan Containers in Ohio seeks a motivated forklift operator to move materials safely and efficiently. You will read and follow all safety rules, operate forklifts and attachments, and support loading, unloading, and warehousing tasks.

This role requires basic data entry with scanning equipment, teamwork with coordinators, and a commitment to keeping work areas clean and compliant with procedures. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds continuously.
• Continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.
• Obtain or be able to obtain a Forklift Driver’s License.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and responsibly.
• Read and understand operational and safety rules.
• Operate fork and clamp attachments.
• Transport finished goods and raw materials as directed.
• Load and unload semi-trailers and complete necessary paperwork.
• Use scanning equipment to perform job and update inventory.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Perform duties as directed and assist other departments.
