Job summary

CROWN Cork & Seal USA, Inc., a Crown Holdings company, is seeking a forklift operator to support material handling and production processes. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading/unloading, and maintaining safety and organization on the plant floor.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work an eight-hour shift, and demonstrate attention to detail. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other team members.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to establish and maintain a high level of organization and quality.
• Familiarization with computers; data entry/Microsoft programs.

Responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety rules, safety training, and required PPE.
• Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment.
• Move controls, levers, and devices to operate forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas.
• Organize and secure materials where loads of materials and pallets are stored.
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
• Wraps loads as needed; Apply labels on pallets as required.
• Move material to line, ship to customer using FIFO system.
• Understand equipment needs and modifications.
• Perform daily housekeeping; other duties as assigned.
