Job summary

Niagara is seeking Team Members to help provide high quality, affordable bottled water. The Forklift Operator-1 safely operates a sit-down motorized forklift to load/unload trucks and move pallets from production lines to the warehouse under a WMS system.

Responsibilities include planning deliveries with production, maintaining inventory, logging movements, and upholding safety standards. Requires forklift certification and a high school diploma; manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in field or similar manufacturing environment
• Ability to safely operate a sit-down motorized forklift
• Ability to navigate within a WMS system

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to load and unload trucks and move pallets.
• Unload and stack material using the lifting device.
• Plan supplies by reviewing the production schedule and scheduling deliveries to the production area.
• Retrieve supplies and materials by studying specifications; secure pallets on trucks; move pallets to production location.
• Maintain inventory in the production area and report discrepancies.
• Log movements of supplies, materials and finished goods.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot forklift issues.
• Maintain up-to-date job knowledge and attend educational opportunities.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
