Job summary

United Felts in Martinsville, VA is seeking a warehouse associate to operate forklifts, organize rolls and pallets, and support production flows. You will log roll details, assist with loading/unloading, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires basic manufacturing experience or a GED/HS diploma and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. Weekend shifts or overtime may apply as production demands change.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma or manufacturing experience.
• Forklift operation knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform forklift checks and report any problems or maintenance needed.
• Be observant and alert of surroundings at all times.
• Keep rolls and pallets organized to utilize space and prevent material damage.
• Communicate with Supervisors and slitter operators to determine needs to keep production rolling.
• Set up the production lines rolls and pallets.
• Set up the slitter’s rolls.
• Maintain a log of rolls returned to stock including roll number, length, width, gauge and location.
• Pull orders from location to slitter.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Fill in as forklift operator in warehouse when needed.
• Work safely by following company safety policies and procedures.
• Keep work environment clean by performing cleaning duties.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
• May be asked to perform other duties.
