Qualifications

• Reads work orders to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Lift truck operation demonstrated; valid tow motor license.
• Moves materials from storage or work site to designated area.
• Maintains housekeeping; pallets properly organized; straps removed as needed.
• Stacks finished product neatly in warehouse with no damage; follow lead shippers rules.
• Empties trash daily in respective departments.
• Keeps forklift PM and battery change logs up to date; ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Inspects inside of truck trailers to prevent damage or contamination prior to loading.
• Pulls product and loads trailers per shipping requirements.
• Completes Shipping/Receiving documentation where required.
• Participates in segregation/identification of non-conforming product.
• Works with line personnel to ensure smooth flow of finished product.
• Relieves personnel for breaks; covers opposite-shift vacations.
• Keeps informed of OSHA safety procedures for forklift operation.
• Follows safety procedures for handling batteries during changes/charging.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Follows safety rules and observes operations to maintain a safe environment.
• Upholds environmental policies and work instructions.
• Ensures compliance to meet customer expectations.
• Understands Hazard Materials Regulations 49 CFR Part 172.704 training.

Responsibilities

• Maintains forklift logs and ensures equipment readiness.
• Inspects trailers for damage or contamination before loading.
• Loads shipments and completes required shipping/receiving docs.
• Identifies non-conforming materials and participates in segregation.
• Collaborates with line staff to ensure smooth production flow.
• Relieves staff during breaks and covers for vacations.
• Keeps up with OSHA and safety practices for forklift use.
• Handles battery change/charging safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Adheres to safety rules and environmental policies.
• Supports customers by meeting compliance expectations.
