The role supports fast-paced distribution operations, ensuring accurate put-away and timely material handling within the receiving area. Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, stacking pallets, and maintaining precise records while following established procedures.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year forklift/order picker driving experience.
  • Able to operate Order picker more than 20ft in the air.
  • Ability to frequently lift rolls weighing ~75 lbs or more.
  • Computer literacy and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and split fabric rolls.
  • Weigh fabric rolls and apply system weight multiplier.
  • Use Hand Scanners to track and move inventory.
  • Palletize fabric rolls and label with printed labels.
  • Unload material from vendor trucks and containers.
  • Pick fabric on demand by schedule.
  • Put away fabric by location using RF scanners.
  • Look up material locations using computers.

The Forklift Operator - Receiving position is in Claremont, NC.

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Receive and split fabric rolls.
  • Properly weigh fabric rolls and use the system weight multiplier.
  • Work with Hand Scanners for tracking and moving inventory.
  • Palletize fabric rolls and label accurately utilizing printed labels.
  • Unload material from vendor trucks and containers.
  • Pick fabric on demand by schedule.
  • Put away fabric by location using RF hand scanners.
  • Utilizing computers to look up locations for material.

  • Ability to muti-task.
  • Computer experience.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
  • Good communication skills – oral and written.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards.
  • Excellent time-management skills including ability to work independently with little supervision.
