Job summary

J&J Snack Foods in Vernon, CA is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to load/unload trucks, handle materials, and pick transfers using the WMS. This role requires forklift certification and basic arithmetic and English skills, with a minimum of two years in a warehouse environment.

You will perform cycle counts, ensure safety and quality compliance, and document inspections and BOLs. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work with multi-tasking teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires basic arithmetic and reading & writing English.
• Must be Forklift Certified.
• Minimum 2 years’ related experience in warehouse environment.
• Read and write English and know basic arithmetic.
• Must be knowledgeable in operating forklift and/or electric pallet riders.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks, LTL and full loads of finished product or raw materials.
• Performs material handling, forklift operation, loading trucks, and pulling orders.
• Uses the WMS to pick orders and transfer product.
• Performs cycle counts as directed.
• Receives RMAs and picks/stages transfers for storage facilities.
• Documents inspections of trailers and completes BOL.
• Follows safety rules and uses inventory devices to track merchandise.
• Reports food safety or quality problems to authorized personnel.
• May operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Loads and/orunloadstrucks: LTL and full loads of finished product and/or Raw Materials.

• Performs material handling, forklift operation, loading trucks, & pulling orders by following company policies and procedures.

• Usesthe WMS to pick orders and/or transferproduct.

• Performs physical and logical cycle counts as directed.

• Receives RMA’s (returns fromcustomers).

• Picks andstagestransfersto be shipped to outside storage facilities.

• Properly completes inspections of trailers and completes BOL.

• Responsibleto dosafety checklist and charge forkliftpursuant todepartment procedures.

• May use hand-held electronic inventory devices or forklift mounteddeviceto track, code, or mark merchandise.

• Receives finished goods fromProductiondepartment for each shift.

• Reports any food safety or quality problems to personnel with the authority toinitiateaction.

• May use sit-down or stand-up forklift or electric pallet jack in the storage or movement of received stock, equipment, or ingredients.

• Follows J&J Snack Food’s all OSHA safety rules Food Safety Plan (FSP), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)and the Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).

• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be knowledgeable in operating forklift and/or electric pallet riders.

US Hourly Pay Range

$20.16—$20.16 USD
