Job summary

UNFI in Edison, New Jersey is seeking a forklift operator to move products and support warehouse operations. The role requires operating different forklifts, following safety procedures, conducting vehicle inspections, and using RF scanners to manage inventory.

Candidates should be willing to obtain PIT certification, lift up to 75 pounds, and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with adherence to HACCP/SQF policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience in warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and use of RF systems.

Responsibilities

• Report to supervisor at shift start with daily assignment and inspections.
• Inspect lift and complete vehicle inspection sheet.
• Replenish pick slots and ensure correct product, quantity, and lot numbers are selected.
• Transport picked items from warehouse to production area using reach machines.
• Maintain clean work area and report safety concerns.
