Job summary

Tamarack Foods in Americus, GA is seeking a full-time Forklift Operator to support production, warehousing, and shipping in a growing food manufacturing facility. You'll coordinate with management, move materials to lines, document shipments, and maintain forklifts per safety policies, GMPs and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 2 years forklift experience.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours.
• Experience in inventory and record keeping.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Manager to ensure product traceability.
• Supply materials to production lines.
• Document shipments to and from the plant.
• Assist Warehouse Supervisor with maintenance tasks.
• Prevent cross-contamination with allergens.
• Maintain forklifts in clean, sanitary condition.
• Follow customer shipping instructions.
• Load trailers in compliance with weight requirements.
• Report discrepancies to customers or regulators.
• Operate forklifts, man-lifts, and scissor-lifts per safety policies.
• Follow GMPs and SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
