Job summary

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company is hiring for a production associate to support daily manufacturing operations in Ohio. The role involves safety checks, forklift operation, and maintaining clean, organized work areas on the production line.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, moving materials, and communicating with team leaders to ensure quality and efficiency. Overtime, weekends, and physical requirements are part of this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass the minimum fit for duty physical (annually).
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime including weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, and be on their feet for 8-12 hours a day.
• Minimum of one plus years of production plant experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to adjust equipment to meet specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform a safety check of the equipment to ensure it is safe to operate.
• Performs daily assignments as directed by team Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in their area.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times.
• Learn multiple pieces of automated equipment and move to different work stations daily.
• Communicate effectively to peers and supervisors about line performance.
• Perform manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure plant quality standards.
• Adhere to plant safety rules and programs.
