Job summary

Basalite Building Products, LLC in California is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to load, transport, and unload sacks and materials, working closely with the Sack Plant Production Supervisor. The role may float between operations and include cross-training.

You will follow safety rules, inspect equipment, maintain fuel, and perform related duties, with a regular full-time schedule and competitive benefits. DOE salary range is $25–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Able to read the tape measure.
• On-the-job training experience is required to perform duties.
• Ability to operate forklift and be forklift certified.
• Predictable, and regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift to transport sacks to the shed to be stored.
• Arranges sacks by type and keeps piles straight.
• Checks sacks for quality problems.
• Stacks pallets and moves parts of pallets as needed.
• Maintains and fuels forklift and checks oil and water.
• Works with plant operator to maintain production quality and efficiency.
• Performs required paperwork and attends safety meetings.
