Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator in Adelanto, CA to efficiently sort, load and unload freight on a dock. You will use pallet jacks and forklifts to move palletized goods and securely load trailers while following safety policies.

The role requires the ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, and pay ranges from $26.05 to $32.04 per hour plus a night shift premium. This position is on a non-climate-controlled dock and offers benefits for schedule of 30+ hours per week.

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Preferred qualifications:

• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry
• Forklift experience in a freight or less-than-truckload (LTL) environment
• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed

About the Forklift Operator job

Pay, benefits and more:

• Expected pay range: $26.05to $32.04per hour. Pay is on an annual step progression. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set
• FAC ONLY : Additional $1.80/hour shift premium for nights
• FAC Shift, Day/Hours: 23:00-04:30
• Competitive and comprehensive benefits options available for those scheduled to work 30 hours or more/week
• This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position

Forklift Operators are required to:

• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 70 lbs.)
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary
