Relogistics is seeking a Forklift Operator in Opelousas, LA to move pallets, load/unload trailers, and support production areas. The role involves operating forklifts safely, hand-sorting pallets, and repairing pallets as needed. Earn $18.50 per hour with opportunities for overtime and benefits.

This is a 4th shift, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; forklift certification is preferred, and prior warehouse or logistics

Formación

• Forklift certification preferred.
• 1-3 years forklift experience preferred, not required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse/logistics/construction is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to move pallets and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift Operators also get to wear many hats within the site! You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets by hand in some locations. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site!

Hourly Pay:

$18.50/hr

Shift(s):

4th Shift: Monday, Tuesday. Saturday. Sunday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment

• Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times

• Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required

• Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required

What You'll Need

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision

• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs
