Job summary

Relogistics is seeking a Forklift Operator at our Galesburg, MI site to move pallets, load and unload customer trailers, and support production requirements. You will operate forklifts with safety, sort pallets, and repair pallets by hand when needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe workspace and following all safety procedures; overtime may be required. Relogistics offers competitive pay and benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of forklift experience.
• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, or construction preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

• Operate forklifts with care, following safety procedures at all times.
• Hand-sort pallets when required.

Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to move pallets and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift Operators also get to wear many hats within the site! You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets by hand in some locations. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site!

Hourly Pay:

$17.00/hr. - $17.50/hr.

Shift(s):

Saturday - Monday 6:00 AM- 6:00 PM

Saturday - Monday 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment

• Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times

• Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required

• Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required

• Maintain a clean & safe working environment

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED

• Forklift certification preferred

• 1-3 years of forklift experience

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths

• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision

• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs
