Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Forklift Operator in Livonia, MI to load and unload pallets and move materials through the plant, keeping production moving safely and efficiently.

We offer hourly pay at $18.00 per hour with shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, plus benefits and opportunities for overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of forklift experience and can work in a labor-intensive environment while communicating effectively with the team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of forklift experience.
• Previous experience in a warehouse/logistics environment is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries of pallets and wood to the proper location inside the plant.
• Move freshly cut and recycled wood to the appropriate worktable area.
• Stack finished products into trailers or storage areas up to a safe height.
• Maintain a safe working environment by lifting, stacking, and transporting materials.

Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to load and unload trailer with wooden pallets and move pallets inside our plants to keep manufacturing production moving efficiently! We’re looking for a motivated individual who will keep things moving at a safe and efficient pace!

Hourly Pay:

$18.00/hr

Shift(s):

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Livonia, MI 48150

What You'll Do

• Unload deliveries of pallets and/or wood to the proper location inside the plant




• Move freshly cut and recycled wood to the appropriate worktable area




• Stack finished products into trailers or to storage areas up to a safe height




• Maintain a safe working environment by lifting, stacking, and transporting materials with all other plant personnel in mind

What You'll Need

• 1-3 years of forklift experience




• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred




• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment




• Ability to communicate effectively




• Willing to work overtime as needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
