Job summary

Express Lumper Solutions in Spanaway, WA is hiring a Forklift Operator / Order Picker for a fixed Monday–Friday schedule at a client site. This is a temp-to-perm role, with the possibility of moving onto the client’s payroll based on performance.

The successful candidate will operate high-reach and counterbalance forklifts, perform order picking, load/unload, and support other warehouse tasks. A valid forklift certification and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Proven experience operating high-reach and counterbalance forklifts.
• Valid forklift certification is required.
• Previous order-picking and inventory-handling experience.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50-60 lbs.
• Comfortable performing both forklift and manual warehouse work.
• Strong attention to accuracy and product handling.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to assist with different warehouse responsibilities.
• Must meet all applicable legal and safety requirements for operating powered warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate high-reach and counterbalance forklifts.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately.
• Load, unload, move, and stage warehouse products.
• Put away incoming inventory in designated locations.
• Replenish picking locations as required.
• Verify product quantities, item numbers, and order details.
• Use RF scanners or warehouse inventory systems when required.
• Perform manual material handling and general warehouse duties.
• Regularly lift and move products weighing up to 50-60 lbs.
• Assist with pallet building, wrapping, labeling, and staging.
• Inspect equipment before use and report safety or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all warehouse procedures, safety requirements, and supervisor instructions.
• Support different departments and operational tasks based on daily requirements.
