Overview

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Forklift Operator based in Atlanta, GA PET Plant.

Work hours: 6:48 am - 7:00 pm, rotating 4 days one week and 3 days the next.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials, finished goods, and raw materials within the plant.
• Perform safety inspections of forklifts, report malfunctions, and maintain records of battery changes and equipment status.
• Assist in inventory management, including loading/unloading, storing, and documenting materials and finished products.
• Support production lines by supplying materials and removing finished goods, ensuring smooth operations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and physical inventories.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of scrap and waste materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and production areas.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding shift activities and issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year forklift experience preferred.
• Proficiency in computer use and typing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
