Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Night Shift Forklift Operator to drive forklifts and manage loading/unloading in our production environment. You will move pallets, lift materials, and ensure accurate handling and placement of goods while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required or able to become certified within 2 weeks of assignment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and unit conversions for weights and measures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move pallets, materials, and products.
• Position and lift loads under pallets with lifting device.
• Unload, stack, and transport materials to designated areas.
• Update inventory and assist with material provisioning as needed.

Responsibilities

Job Summary: Drives gasoline, liquefied gas or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift boom scoop lift beam and swivel hook fork grapple clamps elevating platform or trailer hitch to push pull lift stack tier or move products equipment or materials by performing the following duties:

**Night Shift Openings**

Essential Functions:

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks lifting platform or other lifting device under over or around loaded pallets skids boxes products or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags labels or production schedules.
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets skids or lifting device.
• Lubricates truck recharges/changes batteries fills fuel tank or replaces liquefied gas tank.
• May be assigned work in Subzero freezer area with proper company PPE provided.
• Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
• Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.
• Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
• Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: (Education, Years of Experience, Certifications)

• One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be forklift certified or able to become forklift certified Must be able to qualify for lift truck certification within 2 weeks of assignment into job function.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to sit stoop kneel crouch or crawl and talk or hear.

The employee moves objects

• regularly up to 10 pounds
• frequently up to 25 pounds
• occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision peripheral vision and depth perception
