Job summary

Sadoff Iron and Metal is seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently move materials and products within the facility. This role includes loading and unloading trucks, transferring materials, and assisting customers while maintaining a clean work environment.

The position requires basic forklift skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work as part of a team in a metals recycling setting. Training and paid time off are available after a probation period.

Qualifications

• One to two years of related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools used in metal recycling industry is a plus.
• Forklift driving training or on-site test demonstration required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials and products within the facility.
• Load and unload trucks and transfer materials as needed.
• Sort metals and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE; report safety concerns.
• Coordinate with production, shipping, and maintenance teams.
