Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Material Handler for the Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin facility. The role focuses on warehouse operations including forklift tasks, loading and packing, and maintaining accurate paperwork.

The position offers weekly pay, competitive benefits, and opportunities for advancement. The 2nd shift runs Wednesday to Saturday from 4:00 pm to 4:00 am with a half day on Wednesday; employees may receive a $2.00/hour shift premium plus a $0.75 after 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to lift and push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
