Job summary

Pella Corporation in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Material Handler to safely receive, move, store, and supply raw materials across the facility, supporting production and maintaining accurate inventory.

The role requires forklift/Combilift experience, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and stamina for 10-hour shifts. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for safely receiving, moving, storing, and supplying raw materials throughout the facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting production by maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring material quality, and delivering materials to the appropriate work centers in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload incoming metal shipments safely and efficiently.
• Pull and stage material according to production pull sheets.
• Inspect metal and raw materials for quality and damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory through required scanning processes.
• Return unused materials to inventory using scanning procedures.
• Transport materials throughout the area using forklifts and/or Combilifts.
• Keep material storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50-100 pounds.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Experience operating a Forklift and/or Combilift preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory scanning systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for up to 10-hour shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Skills

• Previous material handling or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Inventory control and material management experience.
• Understanding of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
• Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching during the shift.
• Ability to work safely around moving equipment and production machinery.
