Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Forklift Operator & Material Handler in Houston, TX. The role focuses on moving materials efficiently to support production, loading and unloading, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and use RF scanners daily. Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of forklift experience, familiarity with warehouse procedures, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• RF scanner and inventory tracking experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Shipping, receiving, and material handling experience.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Experience with propane or electric forklifts is a plus.
• Cherry picker experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, tuggers, and other material handling equipment throughout the day.
• Load, unload, move, stage, and organize materials to support warehouse and production operations.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and maintain accurate material records.
• Pull and stage parts for production, kitting, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Put away inventory in designated storage locations and warehouse racks.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse organization.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
