Truestone, an Akima company, is seeking a Forklift Operator / Material Handler to work in Tobyhanna, PA. The role requires processing for an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting, with the potential to obtain and maintain a full clearance.

Responsibilities- Receive scheduled shipments, review documentation, and process receipts through the Logistics Management Program (LMP).
- Operate forklifts capable of lifting 15,000 pounds to move, load, unload, transfer, and stack palletized goods, boxes, crates, and materials.
- Operate a floor-controlled electric bridge crane with a capacity of ten tons on the loading dock.
- Ensure proper attachment of weight handling gear like cables, ropes, and slings for lifting large equipment.
- Inspect equipment such as ropes and cables for wear or damage and replace as needed.
- Operate forklifts with capacities of 10,000 pounds or more to load, unload, and move materials, working indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Move oversized systems and components through narrow aisles, and operate warehouse tractors with up to three dollies when necessary.
- Perform driver maintenance on tractors and trailers, record daily equipment logs, and ensure safety and proper handling of loads.
- Verify materials against receiving documents, report discrepancies, and route materials to storage locations.
- Store, palletize, and inventory materials, and report damages or deterioration.
- Handle materials for shipment, identify items, and use measuring devices for dimensions and computations.
- Possibly transport hazardous materials, requiring HAZMAT training.
Qualifications- U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Pass a drug test prior to employment.
- Valid state DOT driver’s license for base access and vehicle operation if required.
- Experience with multiple forklift types and ability to obtain a TYAD operating permit.
- Familiarity with transporting HAZMAT.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate hand and foot controls on forklifts and tractors.
- Computer literacy for basic programs, research, and data entry.
- Physical endurance to withstand vibration and perform manual handling tasks.
