Job description

Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift

Schedule & Compensation

2:30 pm - 10:45 pm

Hourly rate: Starting from $22.69 to $29.30 per hour

Role & Responsibilities:
  1. Adhere to all safety and housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
  2. Operate forklift to load and unload finished products and raw materials from trucks, railcars, and the production line in a timely manner.
  3. Interpret customer orders to accurately pull, stage, load, and check materials for shipment.
  4. Record shipping data and other relevant information as required.
  5. Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance to service equipment.
  6. Participate actively in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as directed by supervision.
  7. Be adaptable to scheduling requirements, including shift work, overtime, and weekend work if applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  1. Ability to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Ability to inspect and troubleshoot forklifts to ensure operational efficiency.
  3. Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
  4. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  5. Accurate recording of shipping data.
  6. Basic maintenance skills to assist in servicing equipment.
  7. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  8. Consistent and predictable attendance.

Note: The pay rate may be adjusted based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
