Position Summary

The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment while supporting warehouse and manufacturing operations through picking, packing, repackaging, unloading, and inventory-related activities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product accuracy, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned picking, packing, repackaging, and unloading tasks.
  • Operate stand-up forklift and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and order fulfillment accuracy.
  • Follow all company safety, security, and quality policies.
  • Utilize basic math skills and weight scales to complete job functions.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Demonstrate a cooperative and professional attitude with coworkers and management.
  • Adhere to production schedules and work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Previous forklift operation experience required.
  • Licensed or certified Lift Truck Operator required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to accurately add and multiply numbers.
  • Ability to read and understand written English instructions.
  • Ability to work from pick lists, work orders, and operating instructions.
  • Ability to maintain productivity standards, including picking up to 200 line items.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent repetitive motion throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Team lifting required for items exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Ability to continuously move products of varying weights throughout the workday.

  • No more than six (6) attendance points.
  • Meet efficiency and quality performance standards for the previous three months.
  • Minimum of six (6) months in current position.
