Job summary

Rex Lumber, LLC. in Graceville, FL, is seeking a dependable Shipping/Planer Mill Operator for a full-time role with 55+ hours per week. You will operate lifts, industrial trucks and forklifts to move, load, and stack materials around mills and yards.

The position requires at least 1 year forklift experience, the ability to follow instructions, work with limited supervision, and safely perform routine vehicle maintenance. Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday; comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of forklift operating experience.
• Adequate fitness and stamina for strenuous tasks.
• Able to follow oral or written instructions from supervisors.
• Able to clearly explain problems or give instructions to others.
• Able to work with limited supervision.
• Understand basic machine components and operation around moving parts and vibrations.
• Arrive on time and stay on task to meet production goals.
• Team player in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Move controls to drive diesel powered trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Operate lifting devices to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment (cleaning, lubricating, recharging, fueling).
• Stop or reset lifts or machines when malfunctions occur and report to supervisor.
• Participate in action planning processes and teamwork.
• Operate machinery, forklift or other equipment as required.
• Keep work area clean and free of debris.
• All other duties assigned by supervisor.
