Job summary

Basalite Building Products, LLC is seeking a Warehouse/ forklift operator to support the Inventory department by verifying quantities on outbound shipments and handling forklift operations. You will inspect, fuel, and maintain equipment while contributing to safe, orderly inventory in a busy yard environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of forklift experience, good communication, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving a forklift and be company certified.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers, and superiors.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
• Overtime and weekend availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Check outbound shipments for accuracy.
• Conduct cycle counts.
• Change delivery notes to reflect loading changes and inventory shortages.
• Help maintain an accurate and orderly inventory.
• Participate in semi-annual inventory counts.
• Inspect, maintain, and fuel forklifts as needed.
• Empty dump hopper.
• Adjust fork spacing.
• Load brick on trucks.
• Move through the yard, aisles, and cross aisles.
• Stack product in the yard.
• Load/Unload supplies
• Verify tags on pallets.
• Bring in packaging supplies.
• Maintains work area according to company specifications for cleanliness and safety.
• Abides by company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time by the company or its designated representatives.
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Works overtime and weekends as needed.
