Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator I to transfer goods and materials in our warehouse. You will move items using a forklift, perform safety checks, and follow schedules for loading and unloading. The role supports daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 0–3 years of experience, plus forklift certification on hire. Strong English, accuracy, and teamwork are essential to ensure smooth logistics flows.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years experience preferred; 0-1 years required.
• Forklift certification upon hire required.
• Must read and write English; basic geography knowledge helpful.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to operate basic material handling equipment.
• Team-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled forklift to pick up, deliver or move materials.
• Able to operate standard lifting devices and basic material handling equipment.
• Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products or materials.
• Load, unload and stack materials; weigh and record on production schedules.
• Perform safety checks on lifts and follow safety policies.
• Follow instructions independently or as part of a team.
• Comply with all company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Inspect machinery to determine repairs and perform routine maintenance.

Overview

Transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift. Move materials throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location


• Able to operate standard lifting devices and other basic material handling equipment


• Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials


• Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules.


• Perform safety checks on lifts.


• The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team.


• Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines


• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.

Skills and Abilities

• Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge.


• Exhibits strong typing skills/or data entry skills.


• Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.


• Actively participates in safety policies, activities and implementations


• Knowledge of regulatory affairs, customs or other business areas of logistics. Knowledge of financial processes and rating methodology
