Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Receiving associate in Fontana, CA. You will read labels, move merchandise, and place items in correct lanes using a forklift and Finger Scanner/RDT. Maintain accuracy, safety, and thoroughness while following standard procedures.

This position requires working a full shift, operating powered equipment, and meeting productivity and quality standards. The role is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of methods and procedures used in the various distribution center functions.
• General knowledge of distribution center layout.
• Able to operate powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work on a forklift for the entire shift.
• Ability to work alone in a Finger Scanner/RDT directed job.
• Meet productivity and quality standards and adapt as directed.
• Familiarity with catalog number handling and product characteristics.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with attendance requirements.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and use math effectively.

Responsibilities

• Read labels and quantities of merchandise.
• Obtain merchandise from inline stretch or lanes.
• Move merchandise from conveyors to correct lane/location.
• Place pallets using finger scanner/RDT according to layout.
• Maintain accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
• Perform other assignments as directed.
