Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc in Oregon is seeking a Forklift Operator II responsible for loading and unloading trucks and rail cars, maintaining paperwork and shipping receiving records, and following company policies. Under supervision, you will move material, perform pre-shift checks, and keep the yard organized and clean.

You will also participate in safety programs, complete required paperwork, and perform other duties as assigned to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education; High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Prefers 6 months to 1 year of forklift or similar equipment experience.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
• Must complete Forklift Driver licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars
• Moves material and other products from storage to work areas and vice versa as required.
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading product on a truck or rail car
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Completes preshift startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains yard and ensures it is organized and clean.
• Completes paperwork as required.
• Empty trash and wood hoppers.
• Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.
