Job summary

Logistec in Houston, TX seeks a Heavy Forklift Operator to run a 30K forklift, loading and unloading cargo in terminals, docks, and trailers. The role requires safe handling of steel products and at least six months of forklift experience, plus a valid driver's license.

You must hold a TWIC card, be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends, and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers to maintain safe, efficient operations in a busy port/terminal environment.

Qualifications

• At least six (6) months of previous experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Active TWIC Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a <=30K forklift with safety and efficiency in the terminal and dock.
• Handle cargo such as boxes, pallets, pipes, rebar and containers.
• Ensure proper startup/shutdown and three-point contact when entering/exiting the forklift.
• Follow safety policies and stop-work authority, and notify supervisor of issues.
