Job summary

Shaw Industries in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Forklift Operator II for the 2nd shift to build custom orders and move merchandise from trailers to storage locations and back for shipping.

This full-time role offers $28.33 per hour, a 10-hour night shift, and benefits after 30 days including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid vacation, with a focus on safe, reliable equipment. Consistent year-round work and opportunities to contribute to a high-performing logistics team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to sit or stand on lift truck for the entire shift.
• Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck about 15 times per hour.
• Work in a warehouse environment that can be warm or cool.

Responsibilities

• Receive pull tasks with material info and retrieve correct material with a forklift.
• Transport pallets by forklift to and from locations.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Wrap and band hard surface materials on pallets.
• Prepare and package items for shipment.
• Tape and repair damaged packages.
• Raise/Lower dock plate and manage trailer signaling system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Position Overview

To build custom orders to fulfill order requests . Position also responsible for the transport of merchandise from trailers to storage locations and from storage areas to trailers for shipping.

Position works out of Dayton, NJ.

$28.33 Per Hour

Monday, (Off Tuesday), Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday 4:00 pm - 2:00 am

Essential Functions:

• Receiving a pull task with information on the hard surface material to be pulled and retrieving the correct material with a lift truck.
• Transporting a pallet by forklift to and from location.
• Complete paperwork as required .
• Wrap and band hard surface materials prepared on pallets.
• Prepare and package miscellaneous items in boxes for shipment.
• Tape and repair any damaged packages.
• Raise/Lower dock plate
• Use orange cone system for full or empty trailers

• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

  Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit or stand on lift truck for the entire shift.
• Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck on an average 15 times per hour while using three points of contact
• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment which may be quite warm or cool.
