Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator II to load and unload materials from trucks and rail cars. You will maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and follow supervisor directions.

Responsibilities include moving materials, labeling, and basic equipment maintenance while maintaining a clean yard. You will participate in safety and continuous improvement programs and adhere to company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education; High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Prefers 6 months to 1 year of forklift or similar equipment experience.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars.
• Moves material between storage and work areas as required.
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading.
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Completes preshift startup equipment checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains an organized yard and clean workspace.
• Completes paperwork as required.
• Follows forklift rules and company policies.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars
• Moves material and other products from storage to work areas and vice versa as required.
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading product on a truck or rail car
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Completes preshiftstartup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains yard and ensures it is organized and clean.
• Completes paperwork as required.
• Empty trash and wood hoppers.
• Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education High school diploma GED preferred but not required
• Prefers 6 months to 1 year of experience driving a forklift or operating similar equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years of age
