Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is hiring for a forklift operator to transfer goods and materials within our warehouse. You will operate a gasoline or electric forklift, handle lifting devices, and ensure accurate inventory records while maintaining safety standards.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and certifications in forklift operation (and dangerous goods if applicable).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years experience operating forklift (Required).
• Reading and writing English; basic geography knowledge.
• Strong data entry and typing skills; detail oriented.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Active participation in safety policies and procedures.
• Forklift and dangerous goods certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled forklift to move materials in the warehouse.
• Use lifting devices and machinery to stack, weigh and transport goods.
• Perform safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies.
• Follow instructions and work independently or with a team.
• Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines.
• Flexibly perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift. Move materials throughout the warehouse

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location
• Able to operate lifting devices such as lift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch
• Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials
• Perform regular safety & maintenance checks by inspecting machinery to determine any repair need
• Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules
• Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies
• Consistently follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team
• Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
• The wage range for this position is $18.90-$26.70 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Qualifications

• Education High School diploma / GED equivalent (Preferred)
• Experience 2+ years Experience in operating forklift (Required)
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge. Medium
• Exhibits strong typing skills/or data entry skills. Medium
• Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment. Medium
• Strong organizational and time management skills. Medium
• Actively participates in safety policies, activities and implementations High
