Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is hiring for a warehouse forklift operator in Palatine, IL. The role requires operating gasoline or electric forklifts to move goods, and performing inventory and safety checks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

We seek candidates with 2+ years of forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong English reading/writing skills. Excellent safety awareness and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years forklift operation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered forklift to pick up, deliver or move materials in the warehouse.
• Operate lifting devices and machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products or materials.
• Perform regular safety and maintenance checks and report repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies.
• Follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift. Move materials throughout the warehouse

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location


• Able to operate lifting devices such as lift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch


• Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials


• Perform regular safety & maintenance checks by inspecting machinery to determine any repair need


• Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules


• Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies


• Consistently follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team


• Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines


• Performs other duties as assigned


• Complies with all policies and standards


• The wage range for this position is $18.90-$26.70 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Experience

• 2+ years Experience in operating forklift (Required)

• Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge. Medium
