Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to efficiently move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. You will operate forklifts safely, assist with order filling, and maintain productivity while adhering to safety protocols.

The role requires basic Excel skills and attention to detail, with opportunities to support inventory control and cycle counts in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience preferred and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; effective customer service and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate all material handling equipment safely and efficiently following procedures.
• Complete pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment according to requirements.
• Verify correct quantity and product type for loading and shipping.
• Perform order picking accurately and timely.
• Use RF scanning devices to support inventory accuracy.
