Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Noti, Oregon is seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently move lumber in a fast-paced sawmill environment. You will operate forklifts with 18,000 lb+ capacities, perform daily checks, maintain clean, organized work areas, and coordinate with fellow drivers to support production.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience operating forklifts with 18,000+ lb capacity.
• Knowledge of lumber species and widths/lengths.
• Knowledge of Oregon Operating Rules for Industrial Trucks.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Recent related work history with verifiable references.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift while keeping pace with production.
• Move lumber from yard and stack units by width and length.
• Accurately tally units.
• Perform daily maintenance checks and routine/minor maintenance on forklift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with other forklift drivers for proper placement and organization of lumber.
• Overtime may occur during busy production times.
