Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 2 years forklift experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Position forks and lifting device to move pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials.
• Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers as needed.
• Record weights on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Unload material from trucks and stage in yard inventories.
• Monitor production flow to ensure efficient material movement.
• Lubricate equipment, recharge batteries, and fuel as needed.
• Maintain organized and safe stacking of materials.
• Assist in housekeeping and cleanup tasks.
