Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Floating - Forklift Operator to join our Smyrna/Murfreesboro operations. This hourly, full-time role requires moving materials in a heavy industrial environment, operating a sit-down LPG forklift, and supporting shipping/receiving across multiple sites.

You will read load tags, use IRF scanning/loading systems, and ensure trailers are safe for loading. Flexibility to work holidays, weekends and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Requires physical exertion in a heavy industrial environment; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in shipping/receiving and corrugated packaging preferred.
• Must be able to read load tags and production information.
• Experience operating a sit-down LPG forklift.
• Able to verify and maintain shipment records.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Move materials throughout the plant.
• Prepare items for shipment; pass/reject unsafe trailers.
• Ship/receive merchandise and materials.
• Read load tags and production information using computer programs.
• Load trailers using IRF scanning/loading systems.
• Collaborate in a team environment across offsite and on-site locations.
