Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Tennessee seeks a Warehouse Forklift Operator to manage inbound and outbound shipments, perform forklift operations, and ensure safe, organized storage in a fast-paced facility.

You will review shipment docs, work with trucking partners, and follow SQF and safety procedures while supporting a team with 12-hour shifts, overtime, and the possibility of cross-training in related warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to visually inspect trucks and products delivered.
• Ability to operate forklift including depth perception when placing loads.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to hear in a high traffic warehouse and detect safety hazards.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Standing, reaching, walking, climbing and balancing as needed.
• Ability to use basic measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all company and department safety, quality, productivity, and security procedures.
• Performs quality checks at set intervals and ensures total quality of the job.
• Reviews and prepares shipments according to the shipment calendar.
• Works with trucking companies on scheduled pickups and deliveries and handles loading/unloading.
• Ensures proper storage and warehousing of materials per layout.
• Reviews documentation for accuracy before shipments leave the building.
• Maintains a clean and safe warehousing environment.
