Job summary

Maersk is hiring a Forklift Operator to support loading and unloading at our Kyle/Austin facility. The role runs Monday–Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm with potential shift coverage, and requires operating forklifts, pallets jacks, and RF scanners in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain safety per TSA/OSHA, inspect loads, and assist drivers. Must lift 50+ lbs, read work instructions, and work well with others.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, with teamwork skills.

We are looking for a Forklift Operator!

Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm; candidate must be able to cover other shifts as needed

Location:

Facility is currently located in Kyle, TX, but will relocating to a new facility in Austin, TX by October 2026. Please keep this in mind when applying for the role!

The Forklift Operator is in charge of loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck,and/or forklift. They are to maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest.

Essential Functions:

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers in loading and unloading trucks
• Forklift experience
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (asapplicable), counting products, and other like dutiesmust ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately.
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment, including all TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies:

• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap material
• Experience using an RF scan gun is required
• Previous forklift certifications preferred
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Experience:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred - 1 year experience

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

Pay Range:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
