Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Illinois is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock within our warehouse. The role combines forklift operation (stand‑up, reach truck, pallet jack) with general material handling and loading/unloading duties.

Shift is Friday–Sunday, 6am–6pm, with $21.00 hourly pay plus $1.75 shift differential. The ideal candidate has at least 6 months experience operating stand‑up equipment and a forklift certification or completion of a forklift training program within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of forklift-training program within 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Six months warehouse experience preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other power equipment 80% of shift
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring exact quantity and type
• Maintain inventory accuracy through records and reports
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
• Verify load accuracy and report variances as necessary
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source
• Keep equipment and materials in a neat, clean, orderly fashion
• Assist in physical inventories
• Complete daily equipment inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned
