Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Forklift Operator to load, unload and move materials in our Geismar, LA facility, supporting production by supplying raw materials and removing finished goods as needed. The role requires operating lift trucks with proper training, handling shipping/receiving duties, participating in inventory checks, and adhering to OSHA safety rules to protect people and products.

Team oriented and able to work shifts as required, you will maintain safe, organized work

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate a forklift in a production environment.
• Forklift license is required or must be valid.
• Ability to read work orders and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders to determine materials to move.
• Demonstrates safe operation of a lift truck and maintains a valid license.
• Moves materials from storage or work site to designated areas.
• Keeps pallets tidy and adheres to housekeeping standards.
• Completes shipping/receiving documentation as required.
• Participates in physical inventory activities.
• Relieves breaks and covers vacations as needed.
• Follows OSHA safety procedures for forklift operation and battery handling.
• Assists with containment and segregation of non-conforming product.
