Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging in Illinois is seeking an Industrial Truck Operator to move materials, operate lift trucks, and support production. This role requires forklift experience, basic math, and the ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience required.
• Manufacturing/Industrial experience 1-3 years
• Basic math skills
• Exposed to moderate-to-high noise level
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Identify many types, sizes and labels of finished or in-process products and ensure prompt delivery to proper destination.
• Use hand truck or dollies, work saver or similar powered vehicles; apply strapping as needed.
• Handle and pile skids, pallets or drums; repile spilled loads.
• Move and replace scrap receptacles; weigh and record scrap for shipment.
• Record incoming and outgoing production and supplies.
• Load finished product into trailers; install necessary dunnage and secure loads.
• Receive incoming material to storage locations using lift trucks or hand carts.
• Notify supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and delivery discrepancies.
• Operate equipment and assist production as directed.
• Perform routine inspections of lift trucks and service batteries as required.
