Job description

Forklift Operator - Experienced - Part-Time - Afternoon start
  • Work Schedule: 28 hours per week, 4-day work weeks, 4 to 6 hour shifts, starting at 2pm

Forklift Operators are critical to our success at FritoLay! Our Forklift Operators are responsible for a variety of typical warehouse duties, including handling material and operating a forklift to move product around a warehouse.

We’re moving into a new distribution center set to open this August, and we need your help to get things up and running. After initial onboarding and completing our forklift certification program, you’ll assist with unloading and loading product and equipment to help set up the new building. Following the move, you’ll continue as a Forklift Operator at our new location, which is a 17-minute drive from the current site.

In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing:

  1. Safely operate a forklift after training and certification
  2. Load and unload pallets of product to and from trailers
  3. Safely place and store product in multi-tiered warehouse storage
  4. Pick appropriate cases according to order using required technology
  5. Properly manage warehouse inventory with handheld scanners and Inventory Control Systems
  6. Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks as required (e.g., sweeping, trailer cleaning, trash removal)

We operate 24 hours a day, so your schedule may vary. This role is physically demanding, requiring you to be on your feet for the entire shift. Minimum qualifications include:

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are able to work on weekends, holidays, and off-shift hours
  • You can lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
  • You can stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without accommodation
  • You are willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts
  • You can work in environments with extreme temperatures, humidity, loud equipment, and slippery surfaces

Preferred qualifications include:

  • One year of experience operating a forklift or similar equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing setting

Our application process takes approximately 20-25 minutes on any device. We aim to get you in for an interview quickly—just watch your email for updates.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability.
