The Forklift Operator/Expeditor is responsible for transporting materials throughout the facility. Primarily this material is coiled steel. Weights range from one ton to ten tons per lift. This role involves various tasks that change daily based on the mill's and customers' needs. The position collaborates closely with the finish slitters, banders, and shipping department. Responsibilities include aligning scheduled materials per machine, handling scrap hoppers, and expediting materials based on customer requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and a problem solver who can safely and efficiently manage assignments to support facility productivity.
Salary Range: $21-$25/hr.
