Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC in Savannah, GA is seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently load and unload materials, stage freight, and assist drivers. The role requires operating forklifts, RF scanners, and pallet jacks, with a focus on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers direct hire with benefits and PTO from day one, a schedule Monday–Friday 2:00pm–10:30pm, and requires bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun is required.
• Previous forklift certifications preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends.
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well.
• Must have the ability to work well with others.
• High attention to detail required.
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Using manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers in loading and unloading trucks.
• Forklift experience.
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting products, and other like duties to ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately.
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment, including all TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
