Job summary

SPS Companies, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to load/unload truck types while meeting safety and quality standards. You will handle material, stage items for production, and operate SAP handheld scanners daily.

You will attend safety meetings, follow company policies, and support the Fabrication team as needed in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A High School diploma and forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of demonstrated experience using a forklift or heavy equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Understand all aspects of operations. Works in a safe, efficient, and responsible manner.
• Safety orientation.

Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled safety, department, and company meetings.
• Pull bundles of tubing and stage them for production.
• Enforce safety policies and safe work practices.
• Receive material and store in designated areas.
• Load material for delivery onto trailers.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and record results.
• Proficiently operate SAP-supported handheld scanners.
• Report equipment problems for repair.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Report quality issues to Supervisor for resolution.
• Provide support to Fabrication team as needed.
