Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Tipp City, OH is hiring for a warehouse/material handler in the Abbott Nutrition division. You will manage inventory, operate a sit-down forklift, and ensure accurate material flow to production lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience (sit-down).
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure the effectiveness of the quality system.
• Use RFID inventory system to store, pick, or assemble finished product.
• Understand and use ship orders, warehouse paperwork and RF terminals.
• Maintain FIFO flow of finished products (may operate forklift).
• Store, pick or assemble raw materials; verify numbers and lot codes.
• Check materials against packaging lists and invoices for accuracy.
• Deliver materials to production lines and maintain FIFO for raw materials.
• Clean warehouse areas and stage labels for production lines.
• Complete label control portion of work orders.
• Maintain records and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

What You'll Work On

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of thequality system
• Via use of Cambarradio frequencyinventory system, the employee stores, picks or assembles finished product for shipment
• Understands and properly utilizesship ordersand associatedwarehousepaperworkand RF terminalsfor shipping/receiving finished product
• Maintains proper FIFOflowof finished products (may include operation of a forklift truck with a push-pull attachment)
• Stores, picks or assembles raw materials in thewarehouse, verifying the commodity number, quantity, release statusand lot number
• Checks materials againstpackaginglists, invoices, freight bills or other pertinentdocumentationto assure conformity and accuracy
• Delivers materials toproductionlines in a timelymanner,maintainsproper FIFOflowof raw materials andutilizes knowledge of both raw materials and finishedproduct nomenclature
• Cleans up both raw material and finished goodswarehouseareas
• Stages labels in mobile security carts forproductionlines
• Understands and completeslabel controlportion of work order
• Maintainsaccurate recordsand reconcilesinventory errors

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Must have experience with sit down forklifts
• Must be able to lift and maneuver objects of considerable weight (50 lbs.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of technical college computeroperationscourses
• Knowledge of applicableregulatory standardsand requirements for infant formula and nutritionals
• Abiliteto make decisionsbased on awareness of areaoperations
• Ability to deal with people under high pressure and in a constantlychanging environment
• Good written/verbal communication skills,interpersonalskillsandanalyticaltroubleshootingskills
